Do you have systems in place to track resources?  Do you measure utilization?  Do you release resources back to the organization when you no longer need them so the organization can utilize these resources?

Thought process to get this question right on the PMP® Exam

To get this question right on the PMP® Exam or the CAPM® Exam we really need to understand the processes of Project Resource Management as well as other ideas.  Lets take just a few:

• the knowledge area Project Resource Management focuses on the team members and the physical resources
• the knowledge area Project Resource Management is not about stakeholders. 
• Project stakeholder management is the knowledge area about stakeholders.
• The processes  plan resource management, estimate activity resources and acquire team,  focus on both team members and physical resources
• the processes develop team, and manage team focus on team members only
• the process control resources focuses on the physical resources only.

 A reference you may want to read is:  A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) Sixth Edition Section 9.6 (page 353 in the English Version).  This reference tells us that the process control resources only relates to physical resources.
